Analyse and Advice
You iteratively and methodically analyze self-developed prototypes, user needs, interaction designs, experiments, emerging technologies, societal trends, tools, software and/or hardware, with the aim of validating, improving or identifying new solutions that align with the target audience and client requirements. You maintain an investigative attitude and use relevant recognized standards or deliberately deviate from them.
Analysis means breaking down a complex situation, system, or user behavior into understandable parts so you can make better design and technical decisions. As a creative technologist, you use analysis to spot patterns, identify needs, and define which aspects of a challenge matter most for your solution.
First, the problem needs to be clear and sharp:
To Analyse what you need for your project, you can analyse the context:
You can start doing Qualitative Research:
- Literature Research
- Observations
-
You can make a Stakeholder Map to investigate needs and wishes
- Make a technical analysis like a Requirements Analysis
Or start User Research
You advise on creative technical solutions and substantiate this based on insights gained from analysis, design or implementation. The substantiation explicitly addresses the (societal) impact of the choices in the advice. You provide advice in a convincing manner. You use communication methods appropriate for the target audience.
