Analysing & Advising
As an embedded and robotics engineer, you investigate a problem, a component, or an existing device before you commit to a solution, and you advise stakeholders on the best way forward. That means turning wishes into testable requirements, reading datasheets instead of guessing, naming real-time, power, and safety constraints, and presenting findings in a way that fits your audience.
Starting Points
- Technical requirements analysis
- Reading datasheets & component selection
- Real-time & constraint analysis
- Safety & regulatory basics
- Stakeholder engagement & presentation
Deepening:
- Non-functional requirements & quality attributes
- Performance & power analysis
- Technical architecture decision making
- R&D: technology exploration & validation
Level 2 Learning Outcome Analysing and Advising
You investigate issues methodically, identify core problems and advise on solutions with clear substantiation. Success criteria:
- You analyse and advise according to provided methods and take into account the interests of end users
- You communicate clearly, substantiate with your analysis and relevant sources, and explain your advice in an understandable way
- You validate your findings with those involved and process feedback to improve your analysis and advice
Level 3 Learning Outcome Analysing and Advising
You investigate complex issues methodically from multiple perspectives and formulate well-founded, convincing advice on this basis, in which you weigh alternatives and specify consequences. Success criteria:
- You analyse and advise according to professional methods, taking into account ethical aspects and different stakeholders
- You communicate convincingly, substantiate with analyses and external sources, and adapt your message to your audience
- You critically validate your findings and advice with stakeholders and process feedback systematically
