Feedback literacy

Feedback literacy is your ability to actively seek out feedback, make sense of it, and turn it into concrete improvements in your work or your learning process. As an ICT student, you constantly receive feedback from lecturers, peers, stakeholders, and increasingly from AI tools. What determines your growth is not how much feedback you receive, but how well you use it.

Starting Points

Key Points

  • You actively request feedback from more than one source - for example a lecturer, a peer, and an end user - instead of waiting until it is offered to you.
  • You translate the feedback you receive into concrete next steps and adjusted learning goals, rather than just noting that you "should improve."
  • You make a deliberate choice about how and from whom you seek feedback, including how and when you use AI tools to help you process it, and you can explain why that choice suits your goal.
  • After receiving feedback, you name explicitly what worked well, what did not, and what you have learned from it.
  • You share what you have learned from feedback with your team or peers without being asked, so others can benefit from it too.
