Sprint and Team Roles

Sprint and Team Roles

A sprint is a fixed time‑box in which a defined amount of work is completed. Each sprint follows a set of rituals and involves specific roles:

  1. Daily Master – responsible for conducting the Daily Stand‑up and Daily Stand‑down.
  2. Issue Master – responsible for the use of the Issue Board.
  3. Communication Master – responsible for communication and scheduling meetings.
  4. Backlog Master – responsible for sprint planning, the Product Backlog and the Sprint Backlog.
  5. Delivery Master – responsible for the Internal Sprint Delivery, the Sprint Review and the Sprint Retrospective.

These role assignments are documented in the collaboration contract at the start of the project.
