First week: choose your topic

In the first week of a cycle you work in your group and do the following:

  1. Look at your candidate topics. Use the list for your own profile (see Topics).
  2. Discuss as a group which topic fits your group best.
  3. Check with the other groups in your class. Each topic can only be chosen once, so coordinate before you lock it in.
  4. Confirm with your coach.
  5. Do a first brainstorm for your artefact: what could it be, what variation will it show, and who is it for? This is a first rough idea and it can still change. You refine it in the weekly sessions, with the feedback you get.

As a Creative Technologist, your group also formulates a shared research question within your confirmed theme. This gives you ownership without forcing every group to follow the same process or make the same artefacts.
